Bausch+Lomb, a lens manufacturer with over 160 years of experience, introduces Biotrue ONEDay, a one-day contact lens containing hypergel inspired by the human eye. The creation of the HyperGel™ material was inspired by the eye itself:
• the outer surface of the lens is designed to imitate the lipid layer of the natural tear film to ensure the best visual acuity and prevent excessive drying of the eye
• the water content of the lenses (78%) is the same as the cornea of the eye and therefore they are very comfortable in the eye even after a long day in the evening
• highly oxygen-conducting material to ensure healthy, redness-free eyes
• UV protection to protect the eyes in addition to sunglasses
• high-definition optics for accurate and clear vision even in low light
