In the central part of the lens, the water content is 33%, which is characteristic of the silicone hydrogel material, so that more oxygen reaches the eye. However, the water content on the surface of the contact lens is over 80%, approaching almost 100% on the outer surface of the lens due to the hydrophilic gel that covers the inner and outer surface of the lens. This ensures ultra-soft and moisturized lenses throughout the day, from morning to late evening. DAILIES TOTAL 1 lenses are currently the most oxygen-permeable daily lenses (Dk/t 156).
