Gigi Studiose lugu sai alguse aastal 1962 kui Fulgencio Ramo, praeguse tegevjuhi, Patricia Ramo vanaisa, rajas Barcelona südamesse prillitehase. 1981. aastal võttis firma juhtimise üle Patricia isa, Luis Ramo, kelle juhtimise all toodeti odava segmendi raame LR Optika nime all. 2014 aastal, kui juhtimise võttis üle Patricia Ramo, oli firma kahjumis ning väheneva käibega.Vaid 21 aastase, moedisaineri haridusega Patricia Ramo sisetundest ja visioonist sündis uus bränd: Gigi Barcelona. Muljetavaldav on, et Patricia Ramo sõnul õnnestus tema pereettevõttel kahjumist vabaneda ning kogu ettevõtte kasvu ise finantseerida.
Bränd on hetkel esindatud 45 riigis üle maailma. Põhiturg on seni olnud Euroopas, kuid 2019 laieneti ka USA-sse.
2019.a. muudeti Gigi Barcelona nimi Gigi Studioseks. Patricia Ramo sõnul on nad küll Barcelonas asutatud ettevõte ning nad on enda päritolu üle uhked, kuid laienedes üle maailma määratleb Gigi Studios neid palju paremini disainiga seotuks.
