Alexander Wintsch was born in Barcelona in 1958. He spent most of his childhood in the Swiss Alps, where he also drew his inspiration. His mother Mireya was a great role model and inspiration for Alexander Wintsch.
Thanks to his father, Alexander Wintsch started as a maker of monocles and glasses, and with his father's help he also opened his first workshop in Madrid.
Now, almost four decades later, as one of the most innovative designers in the optical sector on an international level, he recalls those first designs where detail and quality are the hallmarks of Alexander Wintsch.
